Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Oudden website, desktop app and related services. By creating an account or using Oudden, you agree to these terms with the operator identified in section 7.

1. Using Oudden and your account

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age for consent to online services in your country. If you are under 18 or otherwise below the age of legal adulthood, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms and permit and oversee your use of Oudden. If you accept these terms as a parent or guardian, you agree to supervise that use. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so.

You may install and use Oudden for its intended purposes under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence. Keep your account information accurate, protect your credentials and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Your recordings and notes

Your content remains yours. You permit Oudden to store, process and share it only as needed to provide the features you use, follow your instructions, secure the service and comply with law.

You are responsible for having the rights to the content you provide. Before recording other people, give the notices and obtain the consent required in your circumstances.

Choose sharing settings carefully. Public links can be forwarded; revoking access does not delete copies already saved by others.

3. Transcription and AI

Transcripts, summaries and AI answers may contain mistakes. Review them before using or sharing them. They are not professional advice or a substitute for independent assessment of important decisions.

Do not submit personal data about children below the minimum age stated in section 1 to AI features. Parents and guardians should help younger users understand AI's limitations and avoid sharing sensitive information.

The Privacy Policy explains how local processing, synchronization and AI handle your data.

4. Subscription, cancellation and refunds

Some features are free; others require a subscription. The price, billing period, included features and applicable taxes are shown before payment. Paddle handles payments as the authorized reseller and manages billing.

Subscriptions renew automatically as stated at checkout. You can cancel through the Paddle customer portal, reached from your payment email, or through Paddle buyer support. Cancellation stops the next renewal; paid access continues until the end of the current paid period.

Refunds

Request a refund through Paddle buyer support or contact us below. Eligibility follows the Paddle Refund Policy applicable to your purchase and any mandatory consumer rights. Cancelling a renewal does not itself refund a payment. Your rights concerning faulty or misdescribed services remain unaffected.

5. Acceptable use and ending access

Do not violate other people's rights, access their private content, distribute malware, bypass access or plan limits, or disrupt the service.

We may restrict access for serious breaches, security risks, non-payment or legal requirements. Where reasonable, we will notify you and allow you to resolve the problem. You may stop using Oudden at any time; cancellation and data deletion follow the sections above and the Privacy Policy.

6. Service availability and responsibility

Features and availability may change, including during beta. We take reasonable care in operating Oudden but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Rights to the software and design remain with Oudden and its licensors.

Responsibility for loss or damage is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Changes, disputes and contact

We will notify you of material changes where required before they take effect. The published terms show their version and last-updated date.

If a problem arises, you can contact us below to seek a resolution. Applicable law determines the law governing the relationship and which courts may hear a dispute. These terms do not require arbitration or an exclusive foreign court, and do not restrict mandatory consumer protections or any applicable right to bring a claim where you live.
