Search notes and transcripts
Find a note or a passage from a meeting, and understand which results are available offline.
Search helps you find material you already have in Oudden. It looks in note titles, note text and completed transcripts. Asking the chat to explain or combine information is a separate action.
Find a note or passage
- Open Search in the sidebar.
- Enter a distinctive project name, word or phrase from the material.
- Read the title and excerpt in the results. The source label identifies whether the match comes from a note or a transcript.
- Click a result to open it. You can also use ↑ and ↓ to select a result and Enter to open it.
For example, try client portal or prototype to find the related project notes. Put a phrase in straight double quotes, such as "first version", to look for that phrase. If it is too specific, remove the quotes or use fewer words. Search works with the words in your materials; a description using completely different words may not find them.
Understand the result
A note and its transcript can appear as separate matches. Opening a result selects the relevant document and view; when a valid position is available, Oudden takes you to the matching passage.
If the document changed or access was removed, an earlier result may no longer open. Search again to refresh it. If opening is blocked by your current note, resolve its saving or version warning first.
Search without a connection
If online search is unavailable, Oudden can show material available on this device. The message Showing results available on this device identifies that situation. A document that has not reached this device may be missing. An empty offline result does not prove that the note was deleted.
Reconnect and repeat the search to obtain current online results. Local search does not make AI chat work offline.
If you cannot find something
- Try a distinctive word from the title or text instead of a general description.
- Remove an exact-phrase restriction or shorten the query.
- Check the account you are signed in to and whether you still have access.
- For a new recording or imported file, wait for transcription to finish.
- Check for an offline message or a synchronisation warning.
- If search shows a temporary error, use Try again. An error is not the same as no matches.
