Sign in to your account
Use Google or an email code, return to Oudden, and resolve common sign-in problems.
Start sign-in from Oudden and keep the app open while you finish in your browser. You need an internet connection for this step. If someone invited you to a note, use the account with the invited email address.
Sign in with Google
- In Oudden, select Continue with Google.
- Choose the intended Google account in the browser and finish the Google steps.
- If Oudden asks you to verify the email address, enter the code sent to it.
- Follow the page’s instruction to return to Oudden.
An additional email check can appear when first connecting a Google account that uses an external email address. Follow the page you see; not every Google sign-in requires that step.
Sign in with email
- In Oudden, select Continue with email.
- Enter your email on the browser page and request a code.
- Open the message sent to that address and enter its six-digit code on the same sign-in page.
- Complete the return to Oudden.
You do not create an Oudden password for this sign-in method. Access to the email address is needed to receive the code.
Confirm your email
Check the address shown on the page before requesting another message. Look in spam or filtered mail if the code has not arrived. If a resend timer is shown, wait until the action becomes available, then request a new code. Use the newest message for the current sign-in attempt.
If the code or sign-in session has expired, follow the page’s retry instruction or start a new attempt from Oudden. Do not share the code with anyone, including support.
Return to Oudden
If the browser asks permission to open Oudden, allow it. If the completion page offers an Open Oudden button, use it. Then check the app: successful sign-in takes you to setup or back to your workspace.
A successful browser page does not by itself confirm that the app has finished signing in. If Oudden is still waiting, use Open again in the app to return to the browser flow. If the request is no longer valid, cancel that attempt and start another one from Oudden.
Sign out and sign in again
Open settings → Account to check the current email. To switch accounts, finish your recording, save your work, and check any save or sync warnings before selecting Sign out. Then sign in with the intended account.
Each account has its own notes and access rights. Signing into another account does not move your notes to it. A loss of internet connection is not a reason to sign out: local work can continue.
If sign-in does not finish
- The browser did not open: try Open again in Oudden and check your default browser and connection.
- No email arrived: check the address and spam folder, then use resend when available. If delivery reports an error, keep its exact text.
- The wrong Google account is selected: start sign-in again and choose the intended account in Google’s browser account selector.
- The page says the request expired: start a fresh attempt from Oudden; an old browser tab or bookmarked completion page cannot start a new sign-in.
- Oudden asks you to sign in again for online features: reconnect using the same account. Read any local-save warning before switching accounts.
If the issue persists, send support your operating system, app version, sign-in method, and error text. Do not include codes or the full sign-in URL.
